John Pulskamp has both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree from California State University, Northridge where he also taught for several years. John taught for six years for the Los Angeles Community College District as well.

Six generations of John's family have lived in Los Angeles and John has lived in the San Fernando Valley since 1951. John, his wife of over forty years, and their children have lived in Granada Hills since 1975.
